Welcome to Glitter, Sunshine and Smiles, my name is Ella. I am a twenty something Kindergarten teacher in central Wisconsin. I started blogging as a way to document my daily life and help others try to find the balance I am constantly searching for in my own life. Between being a full time teacher, a wife, a mom of twins, and trying to be my own person, there are a lot of times that I forget about myself while trying to take care of everyone else. Blogging is a way for me to focus on what I am passionate about and getting a chance to share that with others.

In 2009 I was truly blessed when I met the love of my life during my first month of college. What started out as a spur of the moment double date with my freshman year room-mate, has become the best relationship of my life. Jake and I have had the amazing experience of watching each other grow over the years as both individuals and as a couple. We love to go camping, hiking, play PC games, do DIY home projects and watch tons of movies and TV shows together. On October 12, 2012 he decided it was finally time to put a ring on it at the humane society, which was one of our favorite spots to visit. I was still in college at the time, so we decided to have an almost three year engagement while I finished my degree and we saved money for our wedding. On June 27, 2015 we became Mr. and Mrs. in my hometown of Wausau, WI. 

In May of 2017, just before my husband's birthday, I not only found out that I was pregnant with our first child but that I was also having not just one, but twin babies. In early January of 2019 we were blessed with healthy boy/girl twins who we named Bennett and Peyton. Going from zero kids to two at once was a giant learning curve to us a first time parents and still is, but it has also been the most amazing journey.
